About me

Horses have always been my biggest passion. Ever since I was a young girl, my dream was to convert this aspiration into my profession. I began to compete when I was eight years old and today showjumping is still my dream career and biggest passion. My first horses - Big Fox, Rocky de la Pierre and Bellezza - were all school masters! Rocky is now 30 years old and enjoys his retirement in Giubiasco.

During my career I have had several trainers that have helped and challenged me to become better. I am especially thankful to my father Edio for the support he has given me; from riding as a child and up until competing in international championships. He made sure that my brother Fabio and I had enough good horses, and that we could go to shows all over Europe.

During the time I spent at the stables back home, and trained for my dad, I could celebrate countless wins and prizes all the way up to the European Championships for Juniors and Young Riders. I thus got a fantastic foundation for the success I experience today. The lessons I got from the amazing trainers Philippe Guerdat and Daniel Biancamaria during this period of time, also taught me a lot.

A short visit to the Netherlands also had a big influence on my riding. I still like to think back on my one month of training at Emile and Paul Hendrix’s stable, and I'm very thankful to the Hendrix-family for wonderful and interesting days in the Netherlands.

During the time I trained for Willi Melliger, I got my international breakthrough. It also happened thanks to the support from my sponsor and friend Stephan Stamm.

It was especially my dressage work that I improved during the cooperation with Willi Melliger, as well as learning a lot about the management that is necessary for reaching and staying at the top level of our sport. I also found "West Side" during this time, who today is my top horse – and we could quickly celebrate our first international success together. With "Westi" I experienced the greatest moment of my career so far; winning the team gold medal at the European Championship at Windsor in 2009 with my colleagues Steve Guerdat, Daniel Etter and Pius Schwizer. This was an unforgettable and very emotional moment in my life.

In 2010 I moved to the north of Germany, and by now it really feels like home here. I went to train with Bo Kristoffersen and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson in Breitenburg, and the plan was to stay for a few weeks – but instead I ended up staying for three years. These were three amazing years and I made several fantastic friends during this time.

From the sport point of view, I could – with Bo Kristoffersen’s help – establish myself even more on an international level. Beside big success in Grand Prix classes and World Cups I could once again take part at an European Championship. Unfortunately we couldn't defend our gold medal in Madrid in 2011.

I am extra proud of the number of young horses that I could introduce to the big sport and then sell inside and outside Germany during my career.

As of the beginning of 2013 I have, together with my life partner Sören Kühl, dared to make the step into independence and we have started our own show and trading stable. The central location and the big market in the area made us move to a stable in the north-east part of Westfalia.

Besides my participation at international top level shows, I will now like to put even more focus into educating and selling young talented horses, as well as motivating young riders with my knowledge through training them.
